Dot, Stef and Arlo

As a Dorset documentary wedding photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing and capturing some of the most heartfelt moments in people's lives. Dot and Stef’s wedding at Poole Guildhall was no exception. Their day was a beautiful blend of intimacy, love, and joy, all set against the charming backdrop of this historic venue.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Dot and Stef had envisioned a wedding that was deeply personal and filled with meaning. The Poole Guildhall, with its elegant Georgian architecture and timeless charm, provided the perfect setting for their celebration. As I walked through the doors, I was greeted by warm smiles and the palpable excitement of close family and friends.

Dot looked stunning in her dress, which perfectly complemented the historical ambiance of the Guildhall. Her look was completed with a delicate floral bouqet that added a touch of whimsy and romance. Stef, equally dapper, wore a classic tailored suit that reflected his easy-going yet sophisticated style. Together, they were a picture of grace and elegance, their love for each other shining through in every glance and touch.

One of the most touching moments of the day was the couple’s first look. When Dot came through the doors at the top of the aisle Stef's face lit up with pure adoration. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the depth of their connection, and I felt honoured to capture it through my lens.

The ceremony itself was held in the Guildhall’s main room, surrounded by close family and friends. The room was filled with an air of anticipation and love, as the couple exchanged heartfelt vows. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as they promised to support and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. The sunlight streaming through the tall windows bathed the room in a golden glow, adding to the ethereal atmosphere.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the Guildhall’s picturesque surroundings for some editorial-style portraits. The cobblestone streets and historic buildings of Poole provided a stunning backdrop, enhancing the timeless feel of their wedding photos. Dot and Stef were naturals in front of the camera, their joy and love for each other evident in every shot.

The reception was a delightful affair, with close friends and family gathered to celebrate Dot and Stef's union. The décor was simple yet elegant, at the beautiful Saint Tropez Lounge. Dot and Stef’s wedding at Poole Guildhall was a day to remember. It was a celebration of love in its purest form, set against a backdrop of history and charm. I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of their journey and to have captured their beautiful story. As a documentary wedding photographer, it’s moments like these that make my heart sing.
